An organized home is much easier to clean and to keep clean than a messy and cluttered home.
The European Clean Team suggests…reduce, re-use, and definitely take the time to organize! We understand that this doesn’t seem like the most fun and exciting task for you to do with your time, but we promise- it will make an impact.

Here are some tips on how to do this effectively:

1. Take care of one room at a time. Rome also wasn’t build in a day.
2. Work top to bottom, left to right and try not to get distracted.Turn on music to get moving :-)
3. Have a trash bag available for everything you can get rid off. Also, a container for everything someone else could re-use, and a container for everything that needs to be re-organized.
4. Open every drawer, look on every shelve and be honest with yourself. Ask yourself the following questions: Do you still use or need this item? Would someone else benefit from it? Does this item really belong in this place or do I need to put it in a better location?
5. Throw your trash away today and don’t second guess yourself. Place your donation items in your car right away so that you can drop them off at Goodwill when you are out and about.
6. Now, get started on organizing our belongings. Generally speaking, it is a good idea to keep the following in mind:

* Place alike items together.
* Place items you don’t use often in your cabinets or drawers.
* Find a designated place for items you need every day.
* Purchase storage containers and if needed, label them.

Last but not least, get into the habit of always putting everything back in their place. Remind the kids to do the same :-)

If you take care of one room at a time, you will enjoy a de-cluttered and organized home in no time.

Have fun!
