The European Clean Team is all for protecting our environment! Today we wanted to talk about some green cleaning supplies that really work!
1. Lemon Juice: Not only does lemon juice smell nice and fresh, it is also a natural disinfectant, it is inexpensive and it can be used to remove stains.
Lemon cleaning idea: If you have old stained plastic containers, use half a lemon, squeeze the lemon juice out, add baking soda and work the mixture into the plastic. The lemon works great as your scrubber. If the plastic is stained very badly, let it sit over night and rinse it off in the morning.
2. Vinegar: Vinegar may not smell amazing, but it is also harmless to the environment, it is inexpensive and most of you already have it in your pantry.
Vinegar cleaning idea: Mix water and vinegar 50/50 and fill it into a clean spray bottle. You can use this homemade solution as an excellent window cleaner.
3. Salt: Salt is almost odorless, it is also very inexpensive, easy to store, biodegradable and it is a very effective abrasive. If you need to clean your sink or pots and pans, just add a bit of salt to your scrubber and work your magic. The salt can help you scrub utensils, or clean hard surfaces..
Give it a try!
