As parents we know that keeping our home organized and clean while you try to home school, work and keep your sanity, can seem almost impossible!
The European Clean Team has your back! Here are a few pointers that can really make a difference:
1. Get everyone in your home involved. Even little ones can help with sweeping, dusting or folding laundry.
2. Be extra safe and include commonly touched surfaces in your cleaning routine. Here are some areas that often get missed, but should be cleaned thoroughly: Doorknobs, light switches, cell phones, any handles or railings in your home. You could also include your game controllers or car keys.
3. Get in the habit of frequently washing your hands. Plain hand soap will do the trick quiet nicely. Just make sure you don’t forget the back of your hands and dry them after. If you have young kids, it might be a good idea to refresh their memories on proper hand washing techniques.
4. When you go out to re-stock your essentials, wash fruits and veggies before you eat them. Remember that containers you bring home from the grocery store most likely have been touched by many people.
5. Although the Corona Virus mostly spreads from person to person, it can also live on surfaces for hours and days. Web MD states the following examples:
Metal: 5 days.
Wood: 4 days
Plastic: 2-3 days.
Glass: 5 days
Ceramics: 5 days.
Paper: 5 days.
Be mindful of that when you pick anything up or bring things into your home.
The European Clean Team hopes that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy!
Remember to check in with family and friends who are alone in quarantine. A quick phone call, letter or text message can mean a lot if you are by yourself.
