If you have kids or pets living with you, stains are just a part of life. That doesn’t mean that you need to give up on having a nice, clean home.
Today, we wanted to share a few effective stain fighting tricks that everyone should know about.
1. How to get rid of wax spills on your wood furniture.
Start by removing all access wax with your fingers or a scraping tool. Please be careful not to damage or scratch the wood. Now, plug in your hair dryer and blow the hot air on the remaining wax to soften it. As it softens, use a clean cloth to wipe the wax away. Finish by polishing the clean surface with a new damp microfiber cloth.
2. Grease stains on your carpet.
This is something that will have everyone cringe but we know a simple way of getting rid of this type of stain. Get out your baking soda! Sprinkle a generous amount on the stains and let it sit for several hours so the baking soda can absorb the grease. Vacuum the remaining baking soda up after 6-7 hours. Next, use your microfiber cloth and hot water to clean the affected area and your carpet should look as good as new.
3. Your kids drop a piece of gum on the carpet or get it stuck to a piece of clothing.
It’s simple, just freeze it off! The easiest way to do this is to remove as much gum as possible with your hands. Then, take an ice-cube and just let it sit on the stuck on gum. The gum will freeze and you should be able to remove it pretty quickly.
Now that you fought off all the stains in your house, don’t forget to put up your feet and relax for a bit.
